The Tribal Grants Financial Management Training (TGFMT) is a partnership between the Office of Justice Programs Office of the Chief Financial Officer, the Office for Victims of Crime, and the Tribal Financial Management Center (TFMC). Sessions are presented by TFMC Financial Specialists and invited subject matter experts.
Offered specifically for OVC tribal grantees, the TGFMT provides essential financial management training to support grantees as you successfully manage your federal awards fulfilling the DOJ training requirement with content relevant to victim service providers.
Framed around the life cycle of a grant (pre-award, post-award, and closeout), the series will deliver 5 live virtual sessions focused on key concepts. Each session includes informational presentations followed by a learning activity or break-out discussion. Participants have access to supplemental learning materials such as videos, guide sheets, job aids, checklists, case scenarios, audio files, and knowledge checks. This blended approach will ensure the learning provides participants with a collaborative environment that is engaging, interactive, and relevant to your work.
Completion of TGFMT fulfills the Department of Justice training requirement and receive your certificate.
