The OJJDP FY24 Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Training, Technical Assistance, and Subgrants Program provides funding for two project initiatives to support the needs of state and local court appointed special advocate (CASA) organizations working towards providing volunteer advocates to represent the best interest of abused and neglected children in dependency courts. These projects include: 1) training, technical assistance and accreditation and 2) subgrants to state and local programs. Through the delivery of training and technical assistance as well as subgrants, CASA organizations represent abused and neglected children; partner with other child welfare system stakeholders at the national, state, and local levels; and provide information, technical assistance, and training to volunteer advocates.
This webinar will provide a general overview of the program, the goals and objectives, a discussion about the application process, and a Q&A opportunity for participants.
