Examine the legal issues that first responders face related to missing and abducted children incidents.
Analyze and compare two situations faced by law enforcement: the search for evidence under State and Federal constitutional warrant requirements, and the search and/or recovery of a missing child.
In the latter case, obtaining a warrant might not be feasible because of the need for a quick response. Learn about the more challenging aspects of Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendment that experienced investigators confront in serious criminal investigations, including recent developments and the direction of the law in these areas.
Review statutes investigators frequently encounter during complex investigations, as well as the federal statutes available to enhance and improve investigations and expedite the apprehension of suspects.
The deadline to register is June 20, 2019.
