Attendees will learn to distinguish between behavioral milestones and programmatic requirements, shifting from standardized lists of incentives and sanctions to individualized behavioral contracts, goals, and milestones.

Through a case study, they will explore creating personalized case plans addressing substance use, school, home, and community behavior, including cultural needs. They will consider strategies for incentives and accountability using a four pronged approach and understand how to apply these measures across various stages such as staffing, status hearings, and follow-up meetings.

Additionally, they will learn best practices for using incentives and sanctions to support participant success, ensuring a holistic understanding of personalized and adaptive strategies.
