              South Carolina's plan for juvenile delinquency prevention presents the statewide strategies and specific programs to be targeted at the home, the school, and the community between 1982 and 1985.
          Abstract
              The plan aims to develop awareness of the social conditions conducive to delinquency, to involve individuals and communities in educational processes to change the factors contributing to delinquency, and to strengthen community resources to provide youths with increased opportunities for successful growth. The State's department of youth services will coordinate State and local delinquency prevention services, provide leadership for statewide strategies, and support local public and private agencies in their prevention programming. Specific delinquency prevention activities should include law-related education, activities should include law-related education, community delinquency prevention councils, recruitment of volunteer prevention advocates, and promotion of youth employment and training.
