This report presents a statistical description of the characteristics of 941 offenders (779 males and 162 females) released from Massachusetts correctional facilities in 1980.

Abstract

Tables contain (1) descriptive data on inmates released from each correctional facility during 1980 and (2) the rates of recidivism cross-tabulated with each of the categories of statistical data for these individuals. Data include nature of the present offense, personal background characteristics, release variables, criminal history variables, furlough variables, and release followup variables. A glossary is supplied.
