This annotated bibliography lists and describes 83 books, reports, and studies focusing on the nature and consequences of domestic violence, the characteristics of abusers and victims, and issues related to policies and programs to address the problem.
Abstract
Individual documents focus on one or more types of abuse, including child abuse, spouse abuse, elder abuse, sexual abuse, and dating violence. Methodological issues involved in research on domestic violence are also covered. Most of the citations were published between 1986 and 1988. For each citation, bibliographical information, the source, index terms, and an abstract are provided.
