This 1988 annual report of the courts of the State of Washington identifies judicial issues of importance and details the administration and case loads of the Washington Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, the Superior Courts, and the courts of limited jurisdiction.
Abstract
Highlights of the 1988 report include judicial task force initiatives to further define the role of limited jurisdiction courts and to improve justice practices relating to gender and justice, minorities and justice, and indigent defense. Appellate and trial court case management was improved by the work of the Board of Judicial Administration and the Court Management Council. The judicial branch also increased its efforts to improve communication with agencies such as the Department of Corrections and the Department of Licensing. The report includes case disposition statistics.
