This resource kit developed by the U.S. Justice Department's Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) provides access to two videos, other video options, and resource materials for use in the activities of National Crime Victims' Rights Week, April 7-13, 2019, which features this year's theme -"Honoring Our Past, Creating Hope for the Future."
Abstract
This theme emphasizes the celebration of progress in past years in identifying and addressing the needs of crime victims, as well as the future development of crime-victim services that are even more inclusive, accessible, and trauma-informed. The resources provided include a variety of user-friendly sample materials, current statistics relevant to crime-victim services, professional artwork, and tutorials. In addition to raising public awareness of crime victims' rights and services that have a nationwide impact, the resources also provide guidance in highlighting local crime-victim programs, the scope of crime-victim needs and services, and the professionals and volunteers who provide these services.
