THE HISTORICAL EXPERIENCES IN NEW YORK CITY ARE COMPARED WITH TRENDS IN OTHER DEPARTMENTS, ALL OF WHICH POINT TOWARD THE TOTAL ACCEPTANCE OF WOMEN ON POLICE PATROL ASSIGNMENTS.
Abstract
EVALUATIVE STUDIES HAVE DISCLOSED THAT THERE WERE NO STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE SEXES IN THE USUAL MEASURES OF POLICE PERFORMANCE: ARRESTS, SUMMONSES, RADIO RUNS, SICK TIME, AND EVALUATIONS.
