THIS PROGRAM IS A NETWORK OF ACTIVE PSYCHIATRIC CLINICS, EACH ONE LOCATED RIGHT IN THE COURTHOUSE, WHICH PROVIDE TREATMENT FOR OFFENDERS BROUGHT BEFORE THE LAW.
Abstract
THIS TREATMENT IS MADE COMPULSORY AND ENFORCEABLE THROUGH THE ACTIVE PARTICIPATION OF THE PROBATION DEPARTMENT. RE-ITERATING, THIS NON-VOLUNTARY TREATMENT OF OFFENDERS RIGHT IN THE COURTHOUSE IS THE MAJOR, SINGULAR AND UNUSUAL FEATURE OF THIS PROGRAM. OTHER ASPECTS OF THE PROGRAM WHICH ARE DISCUSSED ARE THE ORGANIZATION AND ESTABLISHMENT OF A COURT CLINIC, THE ADMINISTRATIVE DYNAMICS OF A COURT CLINIC, THE RELATIONSHIP OF THE COURT AND ITS CLINIC, COLLABORATION WITH THE PROBATION SERVICES, AND THE COURT CLINIC AS A NEW COMMUNITY AGENCY.
