Abstract
THE FILM FOLLOWS A VETERAN PATROL OFFICER AND HIS PARTNER, A ROOKIE OFFICER, IN THE COURSE OF DAILY ACTIVITIES. THE INCIDENTS PORTRAYED INVOLVE THE ROUTINE DELIVERY OF HUMAN SERVICES AS WELL AS CRIME DETERRENCE AND CONFRONTATION WITH CRIMINALS. THE FILM FOCUSES ON THE POLICE-COMMUNITY RELATIONS PROBLEM OF INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION IN ENCOUNTERS BETWEEN CITIZENS AND PATROL OFFICERS.
