THE AUTHOR HOLDS THAT THE PRESENT TEST OF THE RELIABILITY OF SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE, WHICH IS GENERAL ACCEPTANCE IN THE PARTICULAR FIELD OF SCIENCE, SHOULD NOT BE ERODED BY THE EFFORTS OF THE COURTS TO SETTLE SCIENTIFIC DISPUTES NOT YET RESOLVED WITHIN THAT FIELD OF SCIENCE.
