Abstract
THE FIVE CATEGORIES OF VARIABLES EXPLORED WERE THE FOLLOWING ONES: VARIABLES RELATED TO THE PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SUBJECTS; VARIABLES RELATED TO THE PLACEMENT SITUATION PRIOR TO THE RUNNING AWAY INCIDENT; VARIABLES RELATED TO THE OFFICIAL RESPONSE TO THE INCIDENT; AND FINALLY, THE VARIABLES RELATED TO WHAT WAS CALLED THE FOLLOW-UP PERIOD, OR THE PERIOD WHICH FOLLOWED THE CHILD'S REINTEGRATION OF HIS AFTER-CARE PLACEMENT AFTER THE RUNAWAY INCIDENT.
