PRESENTS THE EQUIPMENT, TRAINING METHODS, AND VIDEO TAPE DEVELOPMENT OF AN AUDIO-VISUAL TRAINING CURRICULUM.
Abstract
VIDEO TAPES ARE CONSTRUCTED FOR IN-SERVICE TRAINING, AND ALL OF THE OFFICERS IN THE DEPARTMENT ARE SCHEDULED TO SEE EACH TAPE DURING A THREE WEEK PERIOD. SOMETIMES THE TWO VIDEO OFFICERS WRITE THE SCRIPTS FOR THE TAPES. IN OTHER CASES SUPERIOR OFFICERS OR EXPERTS IN A PARTICULAR FIELD HAVE WRITTEN SCRIPTS. VOLUNTEERS FROM THE RANKS OF THE OFFICERS ARE OFTEN USED IN ACTING ROLES. AN INTERDEPARTMETAL LOAN OF EQUIPMENT AND TAPES HAVE PROVEN WORKABLE.
