THIS PAPER PRESENTS AN ARGUMENT FOR APPLYING SYSTEMS ANALYSIS THEORY TO THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM AS A MEANS OF MAKING THE NONSYSTEM WORK WELL.
Abstract
THE AUTHOR DESCRIBES PROBLEMS IN DEFINING THE TERMS OF A SYSTEMS ANALYSIS AS WELL AS IMPEDIMENTS TO ITS APPLICATION TO THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM. THE PROBABLE IMPACT OF ITS APPLICATION TO THE ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE IS ALSO DISCUSSED. THE AUTHOR CONCLUDES THAT THE SYSTEMS APPROACH TO JUSTICE ADMINISTRATION WOULD BE BENEFICIAL, BUT THAT FIRST REFINEMENT AND AGREEMENT TO A STANDARD DEFINITION AND EXPLANATION ARE NEEDED....EB
