STANDARDIZED QUESTIONNAIRES AND TESTS WERE ADMINISTERED TO 186 ADOLESCENT DELINQUENTS AND THEIR PARENTS AS PART OF THEIR ASSESSMENT AT THE TORONTO, CANADA JUVENILE AND FAMILY COURT CLINIC.
Abstract
THE STUDY INDICATED THAT THE YOUNGER CHILDREN TENDED TO REACT AGAINST THEIR ENVIRONMENTS MORE VIOLENTLY AND DESTRUCTIVELY WITH SUCH CRIMES AS PETTY THEFT AND ASSAULT, WHEREAS THE OLDER DELINQUENTS TENDED TO REACT BY REJECTING THEIR SURROUNDINGS THROUGH VAGRANCY OR TRUANCY. THE FAMILY QUESTIONNAIRE FINDINGS INDICATE THE NECESSITY OF EXAMINING FACTORS OF DISCIPLINE, CONTROL, AND AFFECTION IN ASSESSING THE CASES. --SUMMARY IN FRENCH
