THE TEACHER'S DILEMMA IN REPORTING SUSPECTED CASES OF CHILD ABUSE AS REQUIRED BY STATE STATUTES AND THEREBY RENDERING HIS SCHOOL INELIGIBLE FOR FEDERAL FUNDING BY VIOLATING PROHIBITIONS OF A FEDERAL LAW IS EXAMINED.
Abstract
THE PROHIBITIVE CLAUSES OF THE FAMILY EDUCATIONAL RIGHTS AND PRIVACY ACT OF 1974 ARE DISCUSSED. INTERIM AND LASTING SOLUTIONS TO THE PROBLEMS OF CONFLICT OF THE FEDERAL LEGISLATION WITH STATE LAWS ARE PROPOSED.
