REVIEW OF PRE-SERVICE EDUCATION PROGRAMS AND IN-SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAMS.
Abstract
WHILE COLLEGE EDUCATION IS OFTEN SEEN AS DESIRABLE, THERE ARE PROBLEMS IN THE AREAS OF WHICH SUBJECTS SHOULD BE REQUIRED AND LEGAL CHALLENGES TO THE VALIDITY OF DEGREE REQUIREMENTS. INSERVICE TRAINING IS ALMOST UNIVERSALLY ACCEPTED AND 45 STATES HAVE IMPLEMENTED STANDARDS AND TRAINING PROGRAMS FOR THE PURPOSE OF UPGRADING THE QUALITY OF LAW ENFORCEMENT.
