Abstract
EXPLAINED ARE THE FEDERAL RULES OF EVIDENCE RELATING TO OPINIONS CONCERNING CHARACTER, IMPEACHMENT OF A PARTY'S OWN WITNESS, PRIOR STATEMENTS BY WITNESSES, DISQUALIFICATION OF TRIAL JUDGES AND SITTING JURORS AS WITNESSES, AND THE ROLE OF THE EXPERT WITNESS. A SEPARATE DETAILED ANALYSIS IS INCLUDED ON RULES 801-806 WHICH CREATE AN EXPANDED BASE OF ADMISSIBILITY OF EVIDENCE PREVIOUSLY EXCLUDABLE AS HEARSAY.
