PAPER EXAMINES THE THEORY THAT THERE IS A GENETIC FACTOR IN THE ETIOLOGY OF CRIMINALITY AND PSYCHOPATHY.
Abstract
A BIOLOGICAL-SOCIAL THEORY OF LEARNING LAW ABIDING BEHAVIOR IS PRESENTED. A KEY ELEMENT OF THIS THEORY IS THE SPECIFICATION OF A RELATIVELY FAST AUTONOMIC NERVOUS SYSTEM RECOVERY, WHICH IS ONE OF THE NECESSARY APTITUDES FOR LEARNING TO INHIBIT ASOCIAL BEHAVIOR. ALSO COVERED IN THE TEXT IS A STUDY THAT WAS UNDERTAKEN TO EXAMINE THE INTERACTION OF THE FAMILY AS A FACTOR IN DETERMINING THE PROBABILITY OF CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT)..KAP
