AIDS has raised many complex policy questions with regard to priorities for research, how best to conduct prevention efforts, and how to encourage and finance appropriate AIDS patient care.
Abstract
These issues are reviewed from the perspective of a legislator who represents an area with a disproportionate number of AIDS cases. Particular attention is focused on role of the Federal government in responding to the human needs associated with the AIDS epidemic. (Author abstract)
