DISCUSSION OF THE IMPORTANCE OF VIEWING THE OVER-ALL ADMINISTRATION OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE AS AN INTEGRATED SYSTEM EACH PART OF WHICH IS INTENDED TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE REALIZATION OF A SET OF CORRECTIONAL OBJECTIVES.
Abstract
A BRIEF OVERVIEW IS PRESENTED OF DIFFERENT STAGES OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE IN CANADA, INCLUDING THE ROLE OF PUBLIC OPINION. THE STUDY CONCLUDES THAT CANADA LACKS A SINGLE COHERENT PHILOSOPHY TO INTEGRATE AND RATIONALIZE THE EFFORTS OF THE VARIOUS CRIMINAL JUSTICE SUBSYSTEMS. --SUMMARY IN FRENCH
