DISCUSSES TRAINING USES OF CASSETTES AND VIDEO TAPES AT THE AREA LEVEL.
Abstract
USING STUDIO TAPING AND LOCATION WORK, VIDEOCASSETTES ARE PREPARED AND PRESENTED ON VARIOUS SUBJECTS OF PARTICULAR RELEVANCE TO POLICE IN PARTICULAR AREAS. PROGRAMS ARE PREPARED BY TRAINING SPECIALISTS. THE GOAL IS EVENTUALLY TO USE VIDEO TRAINING AT THE PRECINCT LEVEL DURING LOW NEED HOURS. SUCH A PROGRAM CONDUCTED BY PRECINCT TRAINING OFFICERS WOULD PERMIT THE REDUCTION OF THE NUMBER OF AREA TRAINING PERSONNEL AND INCREASE ATTENTION TO TRAINING FOR LOCAL PROBLEMS.
