NEW ORLEANS, LA -- The Justice Department?s Drug Court Program Office (DCPO) released today Ethical Considerations for Judges and Attorneys in Drug Court at the 7th Annual Training Conference of the National Association of Drug Court Professionals, which will run through Friday.? This publication provides commentary on the role of attorneys and judges in drug courts and highlights ethical issues in both the design and daily operations of drug court programs.? Developed by a committee of drug court practitioners, including judges and attorneys who serve in drug courts, this publication also provides information about three American Bar Association (ABA) ethical codes: the Model Code of Judicial Conduct, the Model Rule of Professional Conduct, and the ABA Standards for Criminal Justice.??
