2016 Financial Management Training Seminars

As an Office of Justice Programs (OJP) award recipient, you and members of your organization are invited to attend a 2016 Financial Management Training Seminar. OJP has scheduled four seminars that will take place in Washington, DC. These are scheduled for January 27-28, March 15-16, May 18-19, and July 13-14, 2016. For the first time, OJP is offering two advanced grants financial management trainings, tentatively scheduled for October and November 2016. In order to be eligible for either of the two advanced trainings, you will need to have attended a live training seminar at some point in time, or completed the online training. Additional information will be distributed in the future regarding the advanced trainings.

The Financial Management Training Seminars are designed for individuals responsible for the financial administration of discretionary/formula awards and cooperative agreements awarded from Federal grant-in-aid programs OJP bureaus and offices administers. Officials from OJP's Office of the Chief Financial Officer will lead all seminars. Each seminar consists of 2 full days of presentations and financial exercises.

Please have your organization’s Vendor Identification number available during the registration process. There is no cost to attend the training itself; however, attendees are responsible for all costs associated with their participation in the seminar, including transportation, lodging and meals. The seminar format is informal and participants are invited to dress business casual.

An email announcing registration periods for each seminar are distributed in advance to all active OJP grant holders. Reservations are subject to availability, so register as soon as possible. Attendees will be sent a registration email confirmation upon review and approval by OJP. There will be no onsite registration or walk-ins allowed.
