Speaking to the Field
The Office of Justice Programs works hard to foster and maintain strong connections with policymakers and practitioners throughout the justice and victim services fields. As part of this effort, OJP leaders regularly reach out to constituents by speaking at numerous conferences and events.
Assistant Attorney General Laurie O. Robinson and Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Mary Lou Leary are frequently asked to deliver keynote addresses, speak about OJP priorities and programs, and serve on expert panels on a wide variety of criminal justice issues. These speaking engagements—which include the conferences of major stakeholder organizations and professional associations—help OJP maintain a healthy dialogue with the people on the front lines of criminal justice.
