Ninth Tribal Justice, Safety, and Wellness Session
On August 10-14 2009, the Office of Justice Programs (OJP) joined other federal agencies in hosting the Interdepartmental Tribal Justice, Safety, and Wellness - Session 9 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Since 2006, OJP and its federal partners have held a series of government-to-government consultations and training and technical assistance sessions across the country to address the public safety and health needs of tribal communities. These sessions have helped to identify the challenges faced by tribes and generated recommendations to improve tribal access to federal resources.
