Intellectual Property Crime
The Intellectual Property Crime Summit, to be held on September 30, 2010, in Pasadena, California, will feature information on the economic impact of intellectual property crime, as well as its role in financing the unlawful activities of gangs, organized criminals, and terrorists. With panels on industry and law enforcement, and federal law enforcement resources, this conference is designed to help officers understand the importance of intellectual property rights and learn how to protect them.
In February, the Department of Justice launched a new Task Force in conjunction with an initiative to confront the growing number of domestic and international intellectual property crimes. As part of this initiative, the Bureau of Justice Assistance is providing support for this conference hosted by the National White Collar Crime Center.
Registration for this one-day event is free and is available online.
