***MEDIA ADVISORY*** DEPARTMENTS OF JUSTICE AND HOMELAND SECURITY WILL BRIEF ON INFORMATION SHARING ADVANCEMENTS

WHAT: Officials from the United States Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, and the United States Department of Homeland Security will conduct an executive briefing on the Global Justice Extensible Markup Language (XML) Data Model (Global JXDM). This model enables local, state, tribal and federal justice and public safety agencies to more effectively share information regardless of computer system or platform. The model expedites crime solving and saves money by improving the ability of justice and public safety agencies to share and translate information among differing communications systems.
